Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our vibrant dental team. Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative,, endodontic, and pediatric treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Manage medical documentation and records accurately within EMR systems such as Curve, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging when necessary, supporting comprehensive patient evaluations. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating patient information, and managing patient flow efficiently. Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to facilitate clear communication among team members and patients. Operate advanced equipment such as 3D scanners. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA standards. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions to enhance their understanding and satisfaction. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry. Prior hands-on experience with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and supporting complex treatments. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics is highly desirable. Ability multi task in a fast-paced clinical environment.
