Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient and effective treatment delivery Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring high-quality medical imaging for accurate diagnoses Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic to ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records and coding Monitor vital signs and assist in assessing patient health status prior to procedures to ensure safety and comfort Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively with team members and patients Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical documentation and coding is highly desirable Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients preferred Certification in X-ray techniques and proficiency in taking dental radiographs including 3D imaging scans Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures using dental terminology clearly to patients of all ages Knowledge of dental assisting best practices including vital signs monitoring, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and infection prevention protocols Join us if youâre passionate about providing top-tier dental care in a lively environment!
