Overview We are seeking a motivated Entry Level Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our compassionate dental team. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques and infection control protocols are followed Take and develop dental X-rays, while maintaining patient safety and comfort Record vital signs and medical history, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix. Educate young patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care using appropriate dental terminology and pediatric-specific communication strategies Manage patient flow by greeting families, scheduling appointments, and updating medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with dental procedures involving general anesthesia, sedations. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all necessary skills as long as you have active DA certification. Familiarity with Dentrix is a plus Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and medical documentation enhances your ability to succeed in this role Experience with pediatric dentistry or working with children is advantageous but not mandatory; a caring attitude and patience are essential qualities for success Basic understanding of X-ray procedures, vital signs measurement, and infection control practices will support your integration into the team We have great team in place and would like someone who can be part of it as we are growing.
