Ranieu Family Dental in Vancouver, WA has an immediate opening for PT Dental Sterilization/Level 1 Registered Dental Assistant in a dynamic learning and growing environment. The Dental Sterilization Technician and Level 1 Registered Dental Assistant primary responsibilities are to increase Patient satisfaction by providing exemplary customer service to promote growth, retention and loyalty among patients. You will work with patients and multiple dentists. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. **Sterilization of Instruments:** Properly clean, sterilize, and manage dental instruments and equipment. 2. **Maintenance of Sterilization Equipment:** Regularly check and maintain autoclaves and other sterilization devices to ensure they are functioning correctly. 3. **Inventory Management:** Keep track of supplies and ensure that all necessary sterilization materials are stocked and available. 4. **Adherence to Safety Protocols:** Follow all health and safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment. 5. **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance. 6. **Assisting Dental Team:** Support the dental team by preparing treatment areas and assisting with infection control procedures. Beginner Dental Assistant Responsibilities: 1. **Patient Interaction:** Greet and prepare patients for treatment, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. 2. **Assisting with Procedures:** Help the Dentist or Hygienist during dental procedures, including suctioning and providing instruments. 3. **Taking Patient Histories:** Gather and document patient medical and dental histories. 4. **Scheduling Appointments:** Manage patient appointments and follow-up schedules. 5. **Maintaining a Clean Environment:** Keep the dental office, treatment rooms, and waiting areas clean and organized. 6. **Education of Patients:** Provide patients with information about dental procedures and proper oral hygiene practices. QUALIFICATIONS Experience, Competencies and Education: High School diploma or GED preferred Graduated from a Dental Assisting Program Thrives in a fast-paced environment Professional phone skills Excellent presentation and delivery skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a flair for storytelling Manages difficult or emotional customer situations Desire to help others Competent problem solver Compensation: From $18.50 to $20/hour Compensation is NOT based on Experience.
