Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures. Perform chairside assisting duties, including suctioning and maintaining visibility for the dentist. Take and develop X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed, including scheduling and confirming appointments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix and Dexis for patient management. Skills Proficient in using EMR systems, particularly Dentrix Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques. Ability to perform vital signs monitoring and medical imaging tasks. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control measures. Experience in general dentistry and chairside assisting. Familiarity with 3D scanners is advantageous. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
