Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Hygiene Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will oversee and coordinate hygiene scheduling, patient communication, treatment coordination for your hygiene team. Your positive energetic approach will help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinic atmosphere, supporting the delivery of exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills and experience with Dentrix. Your will be the liaison between patients, hygienists and the administrative team. Duties Coordinate and manage hygiene schedule to ensure optimal productivity Greet and check in/out patients and collecting. Review medical documentation related to hygiene practices, including care plans and treatment notes, ensuring accuracy and completeness Handle patient inquiries, confirmations and appointment reminders Schedule patient appointments, manage recalls and reactivations Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, preventative care and follow up visits Support hygiene team by ensuring full schedules, patient information is accurate and up to date Request and follow up with billing dept to verify insurance coverage related to hygiene Collaborate with front office and back office to ensure seamless patient flow Experience Prior experience working in a dental or medical clinic environment with familiarity in dental terminology and medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Experience with insurance verification processes and billing procedures is preferred Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to support diverse patient populations Demonstrated competence in clerical tasks including filing, multi-line phone handling, typing (10 key), and Microsoft Office applications Previous roles involving front desk duties, medical scheduling, or administrative support within healthcare settings are advantageous Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene while delivering outstanding patient service.
