Permanent Dental Assistant Job in San Diego, CA
**Highly Motivated DA or RDA looking for Wednesday from 8:15am-4:30pm. 1. Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during the appointment 2. Take and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patientsâ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if necessary 3. Prepare and layout sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials inside treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures 4. Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team 5. Adhere to all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use 6. Familiar with intra oral scanning, or willing to be trained. Schedule appointments for patient care follow up, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patientsâ teeth and gums, after procedures 7.
