Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Chicago, IL
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic, providing exceptional care to our patients while supporting the dental team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient care. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments. Provide excellent patient care by explaining treatment plans and addressing any concerns. Ensure the dental clinic is organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations. Support front office duties as needed, including managing patient flow and assisting with administrative tasks. Stay updated on new techniques and technologies in dental assisting. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a related role is preferred. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus. Familiarity with dental receptionist duties and systems is advantageous. Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential. Certification or training in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
