Position Overview We’re seeking a detail-oriented, patient-focusedAssisted Hygiene Dental Assistant to support our hygiene team in a fast-paced, high-end dental environment. This role is ideal for someone who is not only clinically capable, but also brings a friendly, personabledemeanor and a great personality to every patient interaction. You’ll work closely with hygienists to keep appointments running smoothly while helping patients feel at ease, informed, and cared for throughout their visit. This position requires Illinois Coronal Polishing certification. Key Responsibilities Assist hygienists during hygiene and periodontal appointments Greet patients warmly, help them feel comfortable, and build positive rapport Seat patients, review medical histories, and prepare rooms for hygiene procedures Perform coronal polishing in accordance with Illinois regulations Take digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and Itero scans as needed Assist with clinical documentation Turn over rooms efficiently while maintaining a clean, luxury-standard environment Follow sterilization, infection control, and safety protocols Support patient education and reinforce oral hygiene instructions Collaborate with hygiene, doctor, and front desk teams to ensure smooth daily workflows Qualifications Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience required Active Coronal Polishing Certificate (Illinois-required) Experience assisting hygiene or periodontal appointments preferred Warm, friendly, and professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable with digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and dental software Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset Polished appearance and presence aligned with a luxury practice setting Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) 2% match 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
