As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients in our two great office locations, located in Midlothian and Henrico. You’ll work closely with the orthodontist and the rest of the team to ensure that each patient has a positive and efficient experience during their orthodontic journey. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is eager to make a difference in patients' lives. Job duties include but are not limited to assisting the orthodontist chairside during various procedures, such as bonding braces and attachments, adjusting wires, placing retainers, and delivering appliances. Take and process diagnostic records, including X-rays, photos, and intraoral scans. Remove braces and orthodontic appliances under the direction of the orthodontist. Prepare patients for procedures by ensuring their comfort and explaining the process. Provide clear instructions to patients on oral hygiene and care of orthodontic appliances. Answer patient questions about treatments and maintain a supportive and reassuring demeanor.
