Job Type : Full-Time preferred (Flexible Mon-Thurs + every other Friday half-day; part-time considered for the right fit). We're seeking a skilled, licensed Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to deliver high-quality hygiene services in our semi-accelerated, patient-focused model. Duties (With the help of a dedicated assistant 1-2 days a week in an accelerated setting): · Perform comprehensive oral prophylaxis, scaling/root planing, and periodontal maintenance for a rapidly growing and diverse patient base. · Conduct detailed periodontal charting, risk assessments, and oral cancer screenings. · Take accurate and efficient digital radiographs (FMX/Pano/PA/BWs). · Educate patients on personalized oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care with empathy and clarity. · Manage efficient hygiene operatory turnover and support workflows. · Sterilize instruments, maintain treatment areas, and ensure full OSHA/HIPAA compliance. · Collaborate closely with doctors and assistants to deliver exceptional patient experiences and seamless care. · Document procedures accurately in digital records (SoftDent or similar) and assist with inventory tracking. Requirements · Active Virginia Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license and local anesthesia/nitrous oxide certification (if applicable). · 2+ years of clinical hygiene experience preferred; open to motivated newer grads with strong clinical skills. · Proficiency in digital radiography, perio charting, and patient education. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building lasting patient relationships. · Knowledge of infection control, dental terminology, and modern hygiene tools/techniques. · Reliable, positive team player eager to contribute to a dynamic, growing practice. · Proficiency with digital software and technology (e.g., SoftDent, intraoral cameras/scanners, diode lasers, etc.) are a plus.
