Dental Assistant is a full time position responsible for assisting the dentist and dental hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients of the practice. Dental Assistant plays a vital role in a dental procedure and in dental practice. Working to assist the patient and doctor in various ways that allow for the procedure and practice to flow seamlessly. Dental Assistant tasks include seating the patient, verifying the patient’s identity, obtaining vitals, preparing the chair for the procedure including obtaining x rays prescribed by the provider, first assisting the provider during the procedure and cleaning up (sterilizing). As well as, preparing patients for an oral examination, assisting in providing treatment, all aspects of chair-side assisting, documenting in the Electric Health Records System (EHR), assisting Hygienist, and other duties assigned. In addition to those functions, additional functions listed below are allowed as listed. Applicants must meet the following criteria: Successful completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program Current State of California X-Ray License Current CPR Certification Basic Computer Skills Current and Valid California’s Driver’s License Bilingual/Spanish is highly desirable Polishing Course We provide We welcome applications from new graduates.
