Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Somerset, NJ
The position is for an enthusiastic Dental Hygienist looking for their dental home. Hygienist will educate and treat patients with the goal of promoting good oral health practices. Responsibilities Ensure patient comfort with compassion Review and record medical & dental history Take x-rays Evaluate and identify conditions like gingivitis or periodontitis Clean and help protect patientsâ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Assist in educating patients on their dental needs. Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice Job Type: Part-time Pay: $50.00 - $56.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Retirement plan Work Location: In person
