Long Term Temporary Dental Hygienist opportunity in Newport Beach, CA

Looking for maternity leave coverage in Newport Beach on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 8am-5pm with estimated start date March 18- Mid July.  1 hour per patient and 1 hour lunch.  Well established PPO/fee for service single general Dentist who specializes in cosmetic and restorative work. Two hygienists and assistants each day. 

Qualifications:

• RDH that is upbeat and a team player
• Commitment to continuing education for hygiene and dentistry

Responsibilities:

• Be able to select and use appropriate fluoride treatments, laser bacterial reduction, scale and root planing, coronal polishing, help with dental sterilization, review charts for needed BWX and FMX that are needed- must take own check up xrays and FMX
• Perform routine Prophy, Perio Maintenance and SRP appointments
• Laser certified is a bonus as we use this in adjunct with SRP
• Record probing depths (assistants/ front office can help)
• Clean up/ break down room and help with sterilization when possible
• Assist in the prevention and control of dental caries and periodontal disease.
• Must have ability to read and review dental history and/or records from patients. Review patients' charts for the day in order to provide the appropriate services.
• Review needed treatment plans with pt.
• Ability to educate patients regarding the importance of oral hygiene.
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices)

Salary: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
