Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of dental procedures and terminology. This role involves providing preventive dental care, patient education, and assisting with various clinical procedures to ensure optimal oral health outcomes. Experience with EMR systems and a commitment to infection control and HIPAA compliance are essential. The position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality dental services across general and pediatric dentistry. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing to prevent oral disease. Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring patient safety through proper aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to procedures. Manage infection control protocols adhering to OSHA standards, including sterilization of instruments and maintaining a sterile environment. Use dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation review, and record keeping. Support patient comfort through compassionate care and effective communication throughout treatment. Experience Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure. Proven experience in general dentistry Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and infection control standards. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and documentation review processes. * Pay: $1.00 - $99,999.99 per hour Work Location: In person
