Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety guidelines. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Monitor infection control protocols, ensuring sterilization of instruments and a sterile environment at all times. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures. Experience in pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental instruments efficiently during procedures. Ability to accurately perform patient assessment, review documentation, and apply medical coding when necessary. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes. Excellent communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and documentation review.
