Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) using digital EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort Maintain strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of instruments Review and update medical records, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing reassurance and support as needed Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless workflow during general dentistry procedures Experience Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or office environment is preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices for treating children and adolescents Familiarity with medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental hygiene Experience with EMR systems for accurate recordkeeping and patient management Ability to perform patient care tasks confidently while demonstrating excellent communication skills Certification in dental assisting or related fields is advantageous but not required Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding dental care!
