We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. You will collaborate closely with our team members to uphold the highest standards of infection control, documentation, and patient safety. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including documentation review, medical coding, and treatment notes in Dentrix Follow infection control protocols diligently to ensure a sterile environment, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of biohazard materials. Skills Proficiency with dental software Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures. Ability to accurately measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse as part of comprehensive patient assessment. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry for diagnostic purposes. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including pediatrics.
