Permanent Dental Assistant Job in St. Louis, MO
We are looking for a new dental assistant to join our team! The schedule will be Tuesday-Friday and hours are 8:30am-5pm Tuesday-Thursday, and 8:30am-2pm on Fridays. We are ideally searching for a candidate with 1+ years of chairside experience. You will be working alongside our experienced team of doctors, hygienists, other assistants and managers. With this position, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn and develop your expertise. Our practice is family-owned and prides itself in maintaining a fun, team-oriented atmosphere. We provide lunch for our team from various local restaurants on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and enjoy team happy-hours and other fun events throughout the year. We have a great patient base ranging in all age groups. Our practice is located in beautiful Kirkwood, MO, near all the restaurants and businesses that downtown Kirkwood has to offer! Responsibilities: Welcome patients in the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Provide post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Qualifications: Ideally looking for a candidate with at least one year of chairside experience Experience with Dentrix is a plus Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Food provided Free parking Happy hour On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location: In person
