Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. Experience with EMR systems, infection control protocols, and pediatric dentistry is highly valued. The Registered Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health and ensuring patient comfort during visits. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, fluoride treatments, and sealants Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow infection control protocols adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety Collaborate with dentists during examinations and procedures, providing support through four-handed dentistry techniques Review medical records and documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and current best practices in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and HIPAA compliance Experience with pediatric dentistry, medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and chairside assisting Ability to perform patient care tasks with compassion and professionalism Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Familiarity with EMR systems, documentation review, medical coding, and medical terminology Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection prevention measures in a dental setting Prior experience in dental office or clinic environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Job Type: Part-time Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour Work Location: In person
