Job Overview *SPANISH LANGUAGE FLUENCY PREFERRED* Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Provide chairside assistance during various procedures such as cleanings, restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take prescribed X-rays Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote ongoing dental health. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and maintaining organized medical documentation and records. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique to ensure safe and efficient procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with the dental team and provide compassionate patient care.
