Registered Dental Assistant - Smiledent Team - Calabasas, CA

Overview We are a small family practice emphasizing relaxed, friendly, supportive and caring atmosphere for patients and the team. We are seeking an RDA who is looking for a long-term commitment and stability. We provide all general and specialty dental services to our patients. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Assist dentists chairside during procedures, including taking vital signs, medical imaging, and handling dental materials with precision. Operate electronic medical record (EMR) systems such Dentrix, or Epic to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Take X-rays, Pano and utilize advanced imaging tools like 3D scanners to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Perform dental assisting duties in general dentistry and across various specialties. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting procedures across multiple specialties. Proficiency in Dentrix Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
