Position Details Job Type: Part-Time Schedule: 2 days per week Locations: North Bergen, NJ Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planing by removing deposits and stains from teeth and beneath the gum margins Select and apply appropriate fluoride treatments and polish tooth restorations Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established procedures and protocols Welcome, seat, and prepare patients for dental hygiene treatment in a professional and reassuring manner Assist in the prevention and control of dental caries and periodontal disease Conduct oral cancer screenings and evaluate gum health, recession, and periodontal conditions Expose and develop radiographic studies as needed Obtain, review, and update patient dental and medical histories, including health history for returning patients Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene and demonstrate effective home care techniques Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and office regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, Dental Board standards, and office policies Qualifications Current New Jersey Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license required Local Anesthesia license preferred Current CPR certification required Strong communication and patient education skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multi-location practice Why Join Kennedy Dental Center?
