Job Summary Boutique Upper East Side pediatric dental office is looking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. We are looking for the right fit as we expand and develop a hygiene department. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings and prophylaxis procedures Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Educate young patients and their families on proper oral hygiene habits, dietary choices, and preventive care strategies. Review documentation for accuracy, update electronic medical records (EMR systems), and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization protocols and managing dental supplies effectively. Skills EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS!! You must be able to communicate effectively to both parents and children. Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles, dental terminology, and anatomy relevant to children’s oral health. Skilled in patient assessment, including vital signs measurement and medical imaging interpretation. Ability to perform general hygiene procedures with precision while maintaining a fun and comforting environment for children.
