Traveling Orthodontic Assistant (with Pediatric Fill‑In) - GRiN Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics - Aurora, CO

GRiN is growing, and we’re looking for a Traveling Orthodontic Assistant who’s excited to bounce between our ortho locations and occasionally jump in on the pediatric dentistry side when the team needs backup. You’ll help kids and teens feel confident in their smiles while keeping our clinical days smooth, on time, and fun. Note: This is a traveling position between our GRiN offices. Reliable transportation and flexibility with which location you work at on a given day are required. What You’ll Do Provide chairside ortho support: seat patients, remove and place archwires and elastics, assist with bonding/debonding, and support adjustments and appliance visits. Take digital x‑rays, intraoral photos, impressions or scans, and help with records for braces and aligner patients. Educate patients and parents on brace care, rubber band wear, retainer use, and home hygiene in clear, friendly language. Keep ops ready: sterilize instruments, turn rooms over efficiently, and monitor/stock ortho supplies and lab cases so the day runs on time. Travel between assigned GRiN offices as scheduled, arriving on time and ready to plug into the local team’s flow. Occasionally assist on the pediatric dentistry side with seating kids, x‑rays, cleanings support, behavior guidance, and basic restorative visits when needed. Document accurately in the practice management and imaging systems, following GRiN checklists and protocols. What We’re Looking For Orthodontic assisting or dental assisting experience (ortho preferred); pediatric experience is a plus but not required. Active dental assistant credentials and radiology/X‑ray certification for Colorado (or ability to obtain). Someone who genuinely enjoys working with kids, teens, and parents, and can stay calm, upbeat, and organized on busy days. Reliable transportation and comfort with a traveling schedule across multiple GRiN locations.
