Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, answer multi-line phone systems, and provide excellent customer service at the front desk Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and manage medical collections with attention to detail Maintain accurate dental and medical records within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 codes, and care plans Assist with insurance verification, billing procedures, and follow-up on unpaid accounts Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and managing health information securely Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience with a strong understanding of dental terminology and medical billing processes Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms like Athenahealth or Meditech Knowledge of medical coding including CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and Medicare guidelines Experience with insurance verification, claims processing, and collections in a healthcare setting Demonstrated ability to handle administrative support tasks such as filing, documentation review, and office management Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key), and familiarity with health information management software Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and clerical experience in a busy medical or dental office environment Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding patient care through efficient office management.
