Dental Assistant - Cosmetic & Reconstructive Dentistry - Fairfield, CT

JOB DESCRIPTION Our growing (one dentist) privately-owned dental practice in the heart of Fairfield, CT (downtown) is seeking a friendly, caring dental assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, professional, and passionate about delivering excellent patient care. We treat our patients and employees like family and are looking for a new teammate who will do the same. We also train the right candidate for this position. RESPONSIBILITIES · Chairside support: Prepare the treatment room, set up instruments and materials, assist the dentist during procedures (passing instruments, managing suction), and keeping the operatory organized. · Patient care and comfort: Greet and seat patients, help them feel comfortable, explain what to expect, and provide basic post‑treatment instructions. · Clinical tasks: Take dental X‑rays, intraoral scanning, Zoom teeth whitening, impressions, photos, and help with fluoride, sealants or polishing under the dentist’s guidance and supervision. · Sterilization and infection control: Clean and sterilize instruments, disinfect operatories, and follow strict sterilization protocols between patients. · Administrative support: Update charts, enter treatment notes, help with scheduling and check‑in, and support the front office team as needed.
