Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use in accordance with infection control protocols Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and patient safety while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and privacy Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, updating medical history, treatment notes, and medical coding accurately Support patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing questions to enhance their comfort and understanding Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment following aseptic techniques and infection control standards Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team in four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency and patient outcomes Skills Proficiency with dental assisting tools, medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners, and X-ray techniques Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience working with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar platforms is a plus Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and medical documentation practices Skilled in taking vital signs and supporting pediatric patients with patience and care Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist when managing appointments or patient inquiries Join us to make a meaningful difference in patientsâ lives through compassionate care combined with technical expertise.
