In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional dental hygiene care tailored specifically for children and adolescents, ensuring their oral health is prioritized through engaging patient education and thorough clinical procedures. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, specifically designed for pediatric patients Assess patient health by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe and effective care Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency and comfort Educate young patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Review medical records and documentation to maintain up-to-date patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments to ensure a safe clinical environment Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, charting, and record management Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles, including behavior management techniques suitable for children Excellent chairside assisting skills with a focus on pediatric patient comfort and safety Deep understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols Ability to accurately perform patient assessment including vital signs monitoring and medical history review Familiarity with medical coding practices relevant to dental procedures for accurate documentation review Experience with EMR systems to ensure seamless documentation of treatment plans and patient interactions What We Offer: Supportive, team-oriented work environment Competitive pay based on experience Consistent schedule Opportunity to grow within a privately owned practice A fun, positive atmosphere working with kids and families Hours Of Operation: Monday-Thursday 7:30-4:30 lunch from 12:00-1:00 and closed Friday.
