Weâre looking for a reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team. About the Role: You will work directly with our doctor and surgical team, assisting in a variety of procedures, including implant surgeries performed under sedation. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the clinical side of a modern dental practice while helping patients regain confidence in their smiles. Required Competencies & Tasks: Independently assist during surgical procedures, including implant surgeries and full-arch cases, with minimal supervision Demonstrate thorough knowledge of surgical instruments, implant components, and workflow sequencing Properly prepare, organize, and maintain sterile surgical setups prior to procedures Accurately assemble and stage implant kits according to surgical plan and system requirements Perform PIC scans (Photogrammetry) and intraoral scans proficiently and efficiently Ensure all required surgical equipment, materials, and digital workflows are prepared and functioning prior to patient seating Maintain strict aseptic technique and operatory sterility throughout procedures Anticipate provider needs during surgery and support efficient clinical flow Properly break down, process, and restock surgical setups following procedures Communicate clearly with clinical team regarding case readiness and supply needs Compensation Structure Compensation for this position ranges from $20 to $30 per hour , based on demonstrated competency, experience, and the ability to independently perform the required clinical responsibilities outlined above. Advancement within this range is directly tied to proficiency in surgical assisting, implant workflows, digital scanning (including PIC and intraoral scanning), case preparation, and the ability to support full-arch procedures with minimal supervision. Team members who consistently demonstrate efficiency, reliability, surgical awareness, and the ability to anticipate provider needs during complex procedures will be compensated at the higher end of the pay scale. Compensation growth reflects increased skill, clinical judgment, and overall contribution to surgical success at Richmond Implant & Smile Studio. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience (surgical or implant experience strongly preferred) Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification is preferred; not required. Certification may qualify for increased compensation. Certification in dental radiology ( Required ) Sedation or surgical assisting experience is a plus Leadership qualities and a team-player mindset Strong communication skills and professionalism Why Join Us?
