Dental Assistant Position at Portwood Dental About Us: Portwood Dental is a well-established dental practice committed to providing high-quality dental care in a comfortable and friendly environment. We are seeking a motivated and skilled dental assistant to join our team. Responsibilities: Assisting dentists during a variety of treatment procedures Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays) Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment Preparing treatment rooms for patient appointments Helping patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling) Taking impressions of patients' teeth for casts Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer Qualifications: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification preferred Experience as a dental assistant is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and multitask Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Schedule: Monday: 8:00 AM â 5:00 PM Tuesday: 8:00 AM â 5:00 PM Wednesday: 8:00 AM â 5:00 PM Thursday: 7:30 AM â 12:30 PM Location: Portwood Dental 9069 Siegen Lane Baton Rouge, LA 70817 To Apply: Please submit your resume and cover letter.
