Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant, with some experience, to join our busy but dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting duties, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as needed. Conduct vital signs assessments and document findings accurately. Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment. Qualifications Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry being a plus. Proficient in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft.. Knowledge of dental terminology, and anatomy is essential. Experience with medical imaging techniques and 3D scanners is advantageous. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures. Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and efficiently. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Dental Xray Certification is a MUST!
