Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, and current dental conditions. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive measures, and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to optimize patient flow and deliver exceptional patient care in general dentistry settings. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice clinically. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes within a dental clinic setting. Proficiency in taking medical imaging (X-rays), and patient assessment techniques. Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
