Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dependable Dental Assistant to join our large, busy general dental office. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in X-rays, sterilization, and assisting with a variety of general dentistry procedures. We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient but also a team player who is committed to helping our team grow and providing exceptional patient care. *Leadership skills in DENTISTRY is preferred *Experience with packing cord and scanning is preferred *MUST be very proficient with taking full mouth x-rays *MUST be reliable Responsibilities: Support and Lead the dental assisting team to ensure smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care. Perform X-ray imaging accurately and in compliance with safety regulations. Manage sterilization protocols to ensure infection control and patient safety. Assist the dentist during various general dentistry procedures, including exams, fillings, root canals, crowns, and extractions. Prepare treatment areas and equipment for procedures, ensuring everything is ready for use. Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate. Assist with patient education and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience. Train and mentor new team members, sharing your expertise and helping them grow in their roles. Collaborate with the rest of the team, including hygienists and receptionists, to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal office performance. Qualifications: Proven experience as a dental assistant, with strong skills in X-rays, sterilization, and assisting in general dentistry procedures. Dental anatomy knowledge Certification in dental assisting, including X-ray certification, preferred. Strong knowledge of infection control practices and sterilization techniques. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for helping and mentoring team members. Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
