Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Berkeley, CA
We are looking for a part time professional, friendly and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist with the ability to provide superior preventative dental care to our patients. To start we are needing coverage on Tuesdays and with the potential for additional Mondays for the right candidate.
We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills who will help care for our patients and execute the office vision of care, education, continuation and consistency.
Experience in all areas of Hygiene, periodontal experience is a plus, including digital x-rays, periodontal charting, and scaling & root planning. Experience with cutting-edge technology, computer skills, scanning and Dentrix Software experience is appreciated.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse

Taking digital dental radiographs (x-rays) and iTero digital scanning as part of the dental visit

Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth

Applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides)

Teaching patient’s appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;
(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling) -
Patient education & Counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health

Performing documentation and office management activities
