Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans. Assist the dentist during examinations Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient privacy and handling sensitive medical information with care. Proficiency in dental software system in Eaglesoft for documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding standards. Experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with pediatric patients preferred. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques, including taking vital signs, medical imaging, and managing dental instruments efficiently. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse patient populations. Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines, medical records management, and documentation review processes. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to infection control standards.
