Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques and infection control protocols are strictly followed Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging such as 3D scans to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance for patient privacy Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient check-in/out processes Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by adhering to infection control standards and sterilization procedures Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting duties Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately assist during procedures Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Thrive cloud Skilled in taking X-rays and operating medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners Understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes to ensure patient safety Experience supporting pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is highly desirable Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups while maintaining high standards of care Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference every day!
