Our boutique, fee-for-service dental practice located in the heart of the West Village is looking for an experienced, personable, outgoing dental assistant. The position is full time and is required for 3 -4 days per week INCLUDING some weekday evenings and Saturdays. Responsibilities Assisting our doctors and hygienists with a variety of chairside procedures. Preparation and maintenance of operatories. Preparation, maintenance and cleaning of all supplies required for procedures. Instrument sterilization and maintenance Taking digital dental radiographs (x-rays) Taking records with the Itero scanner Skills Proven experience as Dental Assistant In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Familiar with Dentrix and Dexis Software.
