Asheville Periodontics is Hiring a Full time Dental Surgical Assistant We have a surgical assistant going on maternity leave in October and would like to start the search to cover her leave now. Our hope is to find the right person and train in advance with the possibility of this turning into a permanent position. We have a beautiful, modern office located in Asheville; right near the Outlets. Our team is committed to quality care for every patient, and we believe that every member of our team has a direct impact on the health and comfort level of our patients. This position will be a chairside assistant to our doctor while performing surgeries, along with other tasks to help the office run smoothly. While previous assistant experience is required, a great attitude and a strong work ethic are our first priorities. We look forward to meeting you! Job Duties: Surgical assisting chairside Assist with new patient examinations Taking intraoral scans, photographs, radiographs and CBCT scans Surgical treatment room set up and breakdown Sterilization Excellent patient record keeping/documentation Assisting with lab tasks as needed Surgical/implant knowledge preferred Certified dental assistant preferred Experience using Dentrix preferred, but not required Additional Compensation: Healthcare Benefits Eligibility for bonuses 401k Paid time off Health insurance stipend Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $23.50 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Certified Dental Assistant (Required) Work Location: In person
