Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup, and dental implant maintenance. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral health status. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health. Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Capture and review medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in PMS system. Follow strict infection control protocols including aseptic technique, sterilization procedures, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information. Monitor patient vital signs before procedures to ensure safety during treatments. Support dental office operations by managing appointment scheduling, patient communication, and medical coding for billing purposes. Uphold comprehensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices to deliver high-quality care. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential for efficient documentation and record management. Experience with dental implant maintenance procedures as we are heavily saturated with implant patients. Knowledge of infection control standards, medical imaging procedures, and medical records management is required. The open shift is Mon, Wed, and Fri 8:30-5:00. We look forward to speaking with you!
