We are a thriving, private, dentist-owned practice seeking an experienced, dependable, outgoing Dental Hygienist experienced to join our team. Experience in cosmetic procedures, front office administration, and insurance claims processing is a plus! Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination. Perform patient screenings and oral health assessments. Offering personalized oral hygiene instructions to maintain cosmetic results. Perform cleanings, periodontal therapy, and take radiographs. Remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth to enhance tooth brightness. Apply preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants. Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis. Periodontal maintenance to ensure a healthy, stable foundation for cosmetic work. Providing specialized care for patients with porcelain veneers, bridges, and implant crowns to ensure longevity. Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer). Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques). Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to all OSHA guidelines. Maintain documentation and charts on each patient, adhering to all HIPAA guidelines. Communicate effectively with patients.
