Overview A reputable dental office is seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques, as well as proficiency in systems such as Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend. Pay: $24-$25/hr. depending on experience Hours: Monday & Tuesday: 9am - 4pm Wednesday: 9am - 3pm Thursday: 9am - 2pm Friday: 9am - 3pm Benefits after 1 year: - 1-week paid time off - 3% match on a Simple IRA -Free dental for employee and immediate family (lab fees not included) Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety. Perform dental radiography as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix and ensure proper medical coding for procedures. Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries when required. Qualifications 2+ years of experience is required Must be proficient in placing fillings Must have restorative experience Experience with milling and scanning crowns is a plus Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
