Dental assisting experience is necessary. ```Overview`` As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. If you have a passion for dentistry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. ```Duties``` - Welcome patients in the dental office - Assist the dentist during procedures - Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort - Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed - Sterilize all instruments and handpieces according to the OSHA regulations. - Disinfect treatment rooms according to the OSHA regulations - Undertake lab tasks as instructed - Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions - Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked - Organize trays, instruments and treatment room drawers. - Schedule appointments - Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures ```Skills``` To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - A positive attitude and at least 1 year of experience as a dental assistant - Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods - Understanding of health & safety regulations - Experience with Eaglesoft Computer System - Excellent communication and people skills - Attention to detail - Well-organized and reliable - High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred - Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) - Must be punctual, reliable, a team player, and ready to work - Proficiency in medical coding and terminology - Ability to take accurate dental x-rays - Familiarity with dental assisting procedures and techniques If you are a motivated individual with a passion for dentistry and possess the necessary skills, we invite you to apply for this position.
