Dental Assistant/ Expanded Function Dental Assistant Job Type: Full-Time About Us We are a growing, patient-centered dental practice in the Cocoa / Port St. John area focused on teamwork, accountability, and delivering exceptional patient care. Our office values a positive, drama-free culture and is looking for a motivated Dental Assistant to grow with us. Position Overview We are seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) who is reliable, energetic, and patient-focused. The ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years of dental assisting experience and is comfortable working in a fast- paced clinical environment. Experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong work ethic, team player and positive attitude. Responsibilities Chairside assisting during general dental procedures Taking digital radiographs and other diagnostic assessments (3D scanner, Intra-Oral pictures, etc.) Ability to take quality impressions and bite registrations. Fabricating temporaries Maintaining sterilization and OSHA compliance Setting up and breaking down operatories Supporting smooth patient flow and schedule efficiency Assisting with patient education Using Eaglesoft for charting, clinical notes, and assisting with scheduling when needed Perform additional expanded functions based on certification(s) to support patient care (coronal polishing, restorative functions, etc.) Qualifications At least 1-2 years of dental assisting experience preferred Active Florida RDA or EFDA certification (or eligible) X-ray certification Fabulous communication and customer service skills, must be a âpeopleâ person (REQUIRED) Experience with Eaglesoft dental software preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn Compensation & Benefits $19- $25 per hour, based on experience Full time- stable position Paid time off Paid holidays Supportive team environment Opportunity to grow within the practice Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Paid time off Work Location: In person
