Waverly Dental Plano Plano, Texas Waverly Dental Plano is seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant to join our team as we prepare to grow and develop our De Novo Dental Practice in Plano, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled dental assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is interested in helping build a strong foundation for a brand-new office. We are looking for a professional who brings 3–5 years of dental assisting experience, strong clinical knowledge, and the ability to support both the doctor and team while maintaining an exceptional patient experience. Dental assistants play a critical role in dental practices by preparing treatment areas, assisting dentists during procedures, sterilizing instruments, maintaining patient records, and helping ensure the clinical flow of the office runs efficiently. Position Overview The ideal candidate will be confident, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong patient communication and teamwork. Because this is a new location, we are seeking someone with leadership ability who can help support the development of clinical systems, workflows, and team culture from the beginning. Qualifications 3–5 years of dental assisting experience required Strong clinical chairside assisting skills Ability to work in a fast-paced dental environment Excellent communication and patient care skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Leadership qualities with the ability to support and mentor team members Experience with Dentrix Ascend preferred Radiology certification and assisting credentials preferred (depending on state requirements) Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures Take and process dental radiographs when required Maintain patient records and assist with clinical documentation Ensure patient comfort and provide clear instructions before and after treatment Support efficient patient flow and schedule management Maintain clinical supplies and operatory organization Contribute to building a positive team culture within a growing practice What We Offer Competitive compensation Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity to grow with a new and expanding dental practice State-of-the-art technology and modern office environment Professional growth opportunities as the organization continues to expand At Waverly Dental Plano, we are committed to building a practice that focuses on exceptional patient care, teamwork, and long-term growth.
