Cornerstone Assistance Network’s state-of-the-art non-profit dental clinic offers a full range of General Dentistry services to the uninsured/underserved in our community with no other resources. We are looking for a part-time Dental Assistant to join our growing team and see patients on Thursday evenings and Saturday's. If you have a heart to serve, then we are looking for you! Job Title : Dental Assistant (Part-Time) Required License: Current Texas State Board Dental Assistant License Basic Life Support Certification (BCLS) Experience: One year of dental office or clinic experience Duties: Ø Chairside assisting with exams, restorations, surgical, and prosthetic procedures using 4 handed dentistry Ø Patient and operatory readiness for treatment/procedures Ø Provide oral health and post-operative patient education Ø Perform Sterilization and Infection Control in accordance with CDC, OSHA and state regulations Ø Take alginate Impressions and manage outgoing and incoming lab cases Ø Document patient visit information into the electronic health record Ø Take digital radiographs Ø Maintain supply levels and ensure clinic and operatories are fully stocked, clean and organized Skills and Abilities: Ø Knowledge of Eaglesoft dental software program Ø Operational knowledge of dental units and office equipment Ø Ability to organize and manage time efficiently Ø Ability to anticipate the dentist needs and demonstrate critical thinking Ø Provide patient oriented care and excellent customer service Ø Acts as a Team player and maintains a positive and professional attitude Ø Ability to work with a diverse patient population Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent Completion of a Texas State Board of Dental Examiners accredited Dental Assistant course or vocational school certification Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred Submit resume and cover letter to JCerna@canetwork.org Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Application Question(s): Do you have Basic Life Support Certification (BCLS)?
