Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Murray, UT

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. This role involves working closely with dentists and patients to ensure a smooth and efficient dental experience. Our office is open 7 days a week, so you can get the hours you are wanting and needing. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting in general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards, including the use of medical imaging equipment. Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding, while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments, updating patient information, and managing medical records. Conduct vital signs assessments as needed and provide support in pediatric dentistry settings. Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes when required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while assisting with sterilization of instruments and equipment. Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist when interacting with patients regarding appointments and inquiries. Requirements No previous experience required. Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices is essential. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques. Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and efficiently.
