Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in South Jordan, UT

Job Overview Almond Dental located in South Jordan 10435 South 2200 West is looking for a Hygienist 3 (three) days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:45 - 5:30 pm) and 1 Thursday per month. We are looking for someone amazing, dedicated, detail-oriented team player and enjoys working in fun fast office. Single column hygiene, 50 minute appointments. We have a wonderful team here ready to help you be successful and run on time each day. Due to popular demand our schedule stays very full, we have amazing patients some who have been coming to see Dr. Almond for 15-20 plus years. Our mission is to provide the best level of patient care to our patients with a heavy focus on patient education in our hygiene department. Our hygienists are all calibrated to co-diagnose periodontal disease and make the proper recommendations to our patients. We have a beautiful, newly built office, big windows in every operatory, fully stocked supplies, sharp instruments, and new ultrasonic tips! We are looking forward to meeting you. Job Type: Part-time (3 days a week) Salary: Competitive Pay Schedule: 7:45 - 5:30 pm with a 1 hour lunch (1:00 - 2:00 pm) License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist Responsibilities Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque, tartar, and stains Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring patient comfort Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, following safety protocols Maintain accurate patient records of treatments provided and oral health assessments Ensure all dental equipment is sterilized, maintained, and ready for use in compliance with infection control standards Promote a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with patients positively and addressing their concerns Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with local regulations Proven experience in performing dental cleanings and patient education Strong knowledge of oral health practices, infection control procedures, and dental radiography techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team Energetic attitude with a passion for promoting oral health and patient well-being Pay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Paid time off Work Location: In person
