Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry and pediatrics. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while adhering to safety standards. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient management and record keeping. Employ four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain sterilization of instruments and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout the practice. Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when necessary. Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to dental practices. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of general dentistry practices, infection control measures, and pediatric dentistry is essential. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental care. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are crucial for this role. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
