Responsibilities Provide expert dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for pediatric patients, including routine check-ups and complex procedures Perform dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery with precision and care Utilize advanced dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Conduct patient assessments by evaluating oral health status, identifying dental issues, and recommending appropriate treatments Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment during all procedures Educate young patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless delivery of general dentistry services and coordinate specialized treatments like prosthodontics or endodontics when necessary Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice pediatric dentistry Proven experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry within a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric patients Proficiency in using dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes Ability to perform dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and other restorative treatments effectively Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to childrenâs needs Familiarity with infection control standards and HIPAA compliance to safeguard patient information Knowledge of aseptic techniques, medical records management, and infection prevention protocols in a clinical environment Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly improve children's health outcomes!
